Tabasum Kawos

Biography

Ms. Kawos exclusively practices Family Law and Domestic Relations. She was born in Kabul, Afghanistan and grew up in California. She achieved her Doctorate in Jurisprudence, with an emphasis in Family Law, Business Law, and Public Interest Law from Golden Gate University, School of Law. Ms. Kawos achieved her bachelor’s degree in political science from San Francisco State University.

During her time in law school, Ms. Kawos earned many honors including, Witkin Awards for the Law of Evidence and Business. She also earned the Student Engagement Merit Scholarship, the William Enderlin Endowed Scholarship, and the Golden Gate University Student Merit Scholarship. Ms. Kawos also participated in her University’s Appellate Advocacy competition where she was the finalist on a criminal justice case.

Outside of law school, Ms. Kawos worked in family law firms where she focused on divorce and child custody matters. She also taught a course in Golden Gate University that helped first year law students learn how to read legal cases and become better legal writers.
